President, Funeral Service Licensee
Harold is the co-owner and president of Brock Memorial and Worley Funeral Home. He is a 1960 graduate of American Academy of Funeral Service, New York, and has been in the funeral service industry for more than 40 years. "Worley", affectionately called by everyone, is well known in the state and considered one of the best in the profession.
A U.S. Army veteran, he also maintains membership in Epsilon Nu Delta Fraternity, Silver Square Lodge #43, Cape Fear Consistory #263, Kindah Temple #62, as well as life membership in the NAACP. He has been married for 53 years and is the father of two sons, and the grandfather of six.
Marzella joined the staff full time in 1992 after retiring from the Cumberland Co. School System. She is co-owner of Brock Memorial & Worley FH as well as a licensed funeral director and notary. Marzella received her BS and MS degrees in Business Education and Counselor Education respectively from NC A&T State University in Greensboro, NC. She has served her community in various capacities in both civic and social organizations. Among them are member of board of directors of the Sampson County Chamber of Commerce and Hammocks Beach Corporation, past President and life member of the Fayetteville chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., life member of NAACP, life member of National Education Association, member of NC Retired School Personnel and Cumberland Co. Retired School Personnel, Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church, member of the usher board and Floral Club. Marzella has been married to Harold for 53 years and is the mother of two sons, and the proud grandmother of six children.
Anthony hails from Fayetteville, NC and joined the staff at Worley Funeral Home, Inc. in 1994, serving as the office manager. He received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from NC A&T State University, Greensboro, NC, and an Associate degree in Funeral Service Education from Fayetteville Technical Community College, Fayetteville, NC. After graduating from FTCC, he was employed as an adjunct instructor in the Funeral Service program.
Anthony is also an insurance agent, preneed consultant, and notary. In addition to his work in the funeral business, he is a member and 2nd Sunday musician at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. He is a former board member of the Sampson County Health Department (past board chairman), life member of both Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and NAACP, member of Epsilon Nu Delta Mortuary Fraternity, Inc. and serves on the Advisory Board Committee at Fayetteville Technical Community College, Fayetteville, NC.
He is married to the former Carol Williams of Charlotte, NC and they are the parents of three daughters, Lauryn, Jayda, and Kamryn.
Anthony served as the 55th State President of the Funeral Directors and Morticians Association of North Carolina, Incorporated and is currently an adjunct instructor in the Mortuary Science Department at Fayetteville Technical Community College.
Cornell Whitehead is a native of Fayetteville, NC. He was reared in Clinton, NC, graduating from Clinton High School in 2001. While in high school, Cornell served as a funeral attendant at Brock Memorial & Worley FH. Upon graduating , Cornell attended and graduated in 2005 from NC A&T State University, Greensboro, NC with a B.S. degree in Electronic Technology. He also has an Associates Degree in Funeral Service from Fayetteville Technical Community College.
Apostle Marcus Becton joined the staff full time in 1996. He serves as grief counselor, notary public and funeral attendant at the funeral home. "Bec", as he is affectionately called by his peers, is senior pastor of the Way Of The Cross Church Ministries in Turkey, NC. He is also a City Councilman for the city of Clinton. He and his wife, Wendy are the owners of the Agape Christian Bookstore of Roseboro, NC.
